Avatar cast to start shooting sequels in late 2014

Sam Worthington has said that work will begin on Avatars 2, 3 and 4 towards the end of 2014. The 37-year-old actor told the Fitzy and Wippa show on Nova FM that the screenplay is still written, and when the cameras do roll they are going to film the three sequels back to back, Metro.co.uk reported.
His comments come after reports surfaced that Arnold Schwarzenegger is set to join the Avatar cast in an antagonist role.
According to Latino Review, the 66-year-old actor's part has been described as a "bad guy human general." (ANI)

Mila Kunis vs. Kate Upton — Fashion Faceoff

Blond beauty Kate Upton, 19, is probably used to being the hottest gal in any garment. After all, she was selected as the 2012 cover girl of the famous Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. But will her hotness hold up in a fashion battle with actress and beautiful brunette Mila Kunis, 26? The two found themselves locked in a style showdown after they both stepped out in the same traffic-stopping-red Lanvin Resort 2012 dress just seven months apart. Time for us to decide just who wore it better!

Mila Kunis: July 18 (Jim Spellman/WireImage)

Mila debuted the design at the "Friends With Benefits" premiere in NYC last July. The "Black Swan" star, who let the dress' straps hang off her shoulders and left her long locks down, accessorized with Fred Leighton jewels and black heels.
Kate chose the look for a soiree celebrating her Sports Illustrated magazine cover in the Big Apple in February. She wore the straps in an asymmetrical fashion, her hair in a messy updo, and added diamond earrings and sky-high black Christian Louboutins.

This one is almost too tough to call. Both these ladies are lovely, and they've chosen a gorgeous dress in a sultry shade! So it's the little things that make all the difference here. Mila wins props for her 'do and the placement of her shoulder straps. On the downside, her height of about 5'3" makes the dress a little too long for the petite actress. The 5'10" Kate nailed the length on the dress, however her whole look is a little too gussied up and "Dynasty"-esque for me. So quick, before I change my mind, I declare Mila the winner. Do you agree?

Karisma Kapoor is set to make her comeback with Dangerous Ishq, her big screen comeback that will release on May 11.

Actor Karisma Kapoor aka Lolo’s look in the first poster of her comeback film, Dangerous Ishq, bears a striking resemblance to Hollywood actor Angelina Jolie’s look at the Oscars this year. Kapoor shows of her leg in a thigh-high slit gown similar to Angie’s headline-hitting act on the Academy
Awards red carpet. However, some say her look is inspired by actor Sarah Jessica Parker’s, in the film Sex and the city (2010).

Charlize Theron strips for SWATH trailer

The fairytale seems to have come a long way as the story of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs takes a dark turn. With a star cast like Kristen Stewart, Charlize Theron and Chris Hemsworth, the film is definitely one to watch out for.

Snow White And The Huntsman is getting hotter with each trailer. In the second trailer of the film, Charlize Theron, the evil queen strips off for a bath of milk in the hunt for eternal youth.

The trailer starts with the mirror praising the Queen as another kingdom falls to her glory.

Over scenes of war and the Queen killing people, she is heralded for having 'no end to your power'. In her quest for eternal youth and ultimate power, Queen Ravenna is also seen 'stealing' the youth out of a young woman.
Queen is then seen standing in front of the mirror to utter the famous line: 'Mirror, mirror, on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?' The mirror however does not utter her favourite answer. Instead, it says: 'You are the fairest, but there is another destined to surpass you.'".
About the film
Snow White And The Huntsman features Charlize Theron (Young Adult) as the queen and The Twilight Saga's Kristen Stewart, as her replacement, Snow White, being hunted down.
Charlize Theron in a still from SWATH
A twist to this version of the classic fairy tale finds the hunter, played by Hemsworth, becoming Snow White's protector in a quest to vanquish the Evil Queen.
The action tale opens on May 31 - June 1 in Russia, Brazil, Hong Kong, Europe and the UK, North America and other markets, followed in June by Scandinavian countries, Australia and France.

Julia Roberts is also playing evil queen in Tarsem Singh's Mirror Mirror. It is a comedy fantasy film.

Emraan-Eesha sizzle in Jannat 2 poster

NEW POSTER: Emraan Hashmi and Eesha Gupta in Jannat 2

The smooch king is slowly turning into an actor of substance. Emraan Hashmi and Eesha Gupta exude an excellent screen chemistry in the latest poster of Jannat 2. The sequel to 2008 hit Jannat is about changing face of gun trade.

Mahesh Bhatt explains that while researching the subject, they learnt from the Delhi police that nawabs and kings had employed skilled artisans to make arms for them to wage frequent wars, but the British banned them, wanting exclusive control over arms and ammunition in India. Centuries later, with sales of arms escalating, the next generation was tapped for their skills and made part of the flourishing illegal trade.

“Jannat 2 will open a can of worms, much like its predecessor did in 2008,” promises Emraan in a recent interview with HT.

“Four years ago, a story about match-fixing may have seemed like pure fiction, but today, after a string of headline-grabbing front page reports, there’s a sense of déjà vu. What you see and read in 2011-2012, was all said in our film four years ago. That’s exactly how it’s going to be with Jannat 2 as well,” he says.

“As part of the research, I even got to fire a gun,” says Emraan who since he was a child, has been hooked to action movies. “I used to fire toy guns earlier. Firing the real thing was a high, but I also realised how much power it puts into your hands. It is used by the police to protect, but if it gets into the wrong hands, it can destroy too. It brings out the dark side in some people and can become a fatal obsession.”
Jannat 2

While in the first part, Emraan romanced Sonal Chauhan, in the sequel he is pairing up with Eesha Gupta. The film also stars Randeep Hooda.

Designer Shoes Are Pricier Than Ever. What's the Most You've Ever Spent?

Designer shoes, like these Manolo Blahniks, are skyrocketing in price. Photo courtesy of Neiman Marcus

If you thought designer stilettos were getting treacherously high, you should see their current prices. Women's Wear Daily dug into this unsettling retail phenomenon by examining the shoe closet of Carrie Bradshaw, the ultimate high heel junkie. In an episode of "Sex and the City" called "A Right to Shoes," the protagonist mourns the loss of her $485 silver Manolo Blahniks (pictured at left) after they're stolen at a house party. We remember watching the episode back in 2003 thinking, good God, that is a LOT of money to spend on one pair of heels. And we weren't alone, because this was the focal point of the TV episode.

Fast forward nearly a decade later and the same pair of Manolo Blahnik Sedaraby Silver Bejeweled Pumps is selling for $755--almost $300 more than Bradshaw's pair. And this is not just regular inflation. We couldn't find a single pair of Manolos under $495 and these beaded snakeskin sandals selling for $1,995.

As the consumer, it's depressing and hard to understand why this is happening. The C.E.O. of Christian Louboutin told WWD their shoe prices are up because the cost of their raw materials is up 30 to 40% in the last 18 months. George Malkemus, the C.E.O. of Manolo Blahnik, told WWD the sudden fixation on designer shoes (and some could argue "Sex and the City itself) is responsible.

"When a young lady says to me, 'I went shopping for shoes and the average price point was $900'-$900 used to be a coat," Malkemus told WWD. "I think that people may have taken advantage of the notion that 'It's all about accessories right now.' When [designer] ready-to-wear priced itself out of the realm of most consumers, shoes and bags were still affordable. Now, what's happened is the shoe people and the bag people sort of lost control of that, and they are scaring off a certain consumer."

While we think those prices are a bit off (who pays $900 for a coat?!) we agree with the sentiment. If you couldn't afford a fancy name brand dress, you used to be able to attain the same effect by getting a designer handbag or shoe. But those days have dwindled. Salespeople are also recognizing this trend, and think the average person saving up for designer heels may be a thing of the past.

"The observation is correct, the prices have shot up dramatically," Daniella Vitale, chief merchant and executive vice president of Barneys told WWD. "We still open up at $395 in designer ballet flats...and Rochas has a loafer at $395, but I would say that those are really becoming the anomaly." In fact, the average price of a designer shoe at Barneys is $770, something the store says is "concerning."

We're concerned too, because many women are shoe obsessed, the majority of us don't have $770 to drop on a pair of heels, and credit card debt is no laughing matter!

While we're discussing price tags, what is the most you've ever spent on a pair of shoes and was your purchase worth the money?

Miss Universe Canada Disqualifies Transsexual Contestant: She was Born a Boy

 Jenna Talackova (right)

Miss Universe Canada officials have banned 23-year-old transsexual Jenna Talackova from participating in the pageant finals to be held in Toronto in May, 2012. The Vancouver contestant was one of sixty-five women chosen to compete in the national contest (which is owned by Donald Trump). The Daily Mail Reports that Denis Davila, national director of Miss Universe Canada, asserts that every contestant must be a "naturally born female." Critics of the decision claim that the rules do not specifically address sex change or plastic surgery.
The statuesque blonde Talackova is calling it a human rights issue. She says that she knew she was a girl by age four, started hormone therapy at fourteen, and had sex reassignment surgery at nineteen. She's previously competed in both transsexual and women's beauty pageants. "All I can say is that they disqualified me because I'm not 'natural born,' she told the National Post. "[That] doesn't make sense because since I was conscious, I always felt this way."
After being kicked out of the pageant, Talackova, whose twitter account has since been locked, tweeted, "I'm disqualified, however I'm not giving up. I'm not going to just let them disqualify me over discrimination." Online support for the beauty queen is growing. So far, over twenty-one thousand people have signed a petition demanding she be allowed to compete. It reads, "She is a woman and deserves to be treated as any other woman would be."
Talackova, who says she is not doing interviews until she consults a lawyer, describes herself as, "a woman with a past."
Do you think Jenna Talackova should be allowed to compete in the Miss Universe Canada pageant? Let us know in the comments below.

Ali Landry: I Tapped Mario Lopez’s Phone to Prove He Was Cheating

Landry and Lopez. (Mike Guastella/WireImage)Mario Lopez's fiancee, Courtney Mazza, better keep a close eye on her man. His ex-wife, former Doritos Girl Ali Landry, opened up for the first time about how the "Extra" host cheated on her repeatedly during their six-year relationship on "The Wendy Williams Show" on Thursday. Just before their 2004 wedding, Landry says she heard rumblings that Lopez may have strayed, but when she confronted him about it, she says, "He swore that it was not true." Although she adds that she had "a feeling in my gut" he was lying, Landry went ahead with the wedding anyway because it was in Mexico and her family had already booked their travel. "I really should have put the brakes on it at that point, but I was afraid."
Since Lopez wasn't forthcoming with the truth, a friend of Landry's suggested former Miss USA find it out for herself by tapping his phone. Although she was reluctant at first, she went ahead and let her friend do it for her. "And right after the honeymoon I started getting phone calls from these girls," she told Williams. "I confronted him and he — still to this day — denied it and never apologized." Lopez also reportedly cheated on their honeymoon, just three days after they tied the knot, when he left his new wife at the hotel while he partied with a 20-year-old all night. Two weeks after their fairytale wedding, Landry, 38, filed for an annulment from the former "Saved By the Bell" actor, whom she met in 1998 when he hosted Miss Teen USA (she was a commentator), and she hasn't spoken to him since.

But the experience wasn't all bad. After leaving Lopez, Landry, now 38, turned to her religion and found solace in reading the Bible every day. She even joined a theology class in Los Angeles — where she ended up meeting her future husband, director Alejandro Monteverde, whom she wed in 2006. Landry also admitted to Williams that because of what she went through with Lopez, she abstained from sex with Monteverde until their wedding night. "I was just treading lightly, and did not want to make any mistakes in this relationship," said the "Hollywood Girls Night" host, who now has two children, Estela, 4, and Marcelo, 5 months, with the "Bella" director. "He was the person I was meant to be with."
Lopez, meanwhile, proposed to Mazza, a Broadway dancer, in January and the two have an 18-month-old daughter, named Gia.

Super busy SXSW wraps up with poignant moment

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Stars of all stripes and celebrity hit town to close out South By Southwest, but it was a marching band that stole the show Saturday.
Members of the Austin High band watched their star turn in the premiere of filmmaker Emmett Malloy's "Big Easy Express," then joined documentary subjects Mumford & Sons, Edward Sharpe and The Magnetic Zeroes and Old Crow Medicine Show in an outdoor concert at the University of Texas as the music conference fell into an exhausted heap on its final night.
Across town, Timbaland held a listening party at Perez Hilton's annual to-do. Norah Jones played her new album for an appreciative group of fans. Matthew McConaughey joined The Cult during a free concert. Punk rock icon Bob Mould played "Copper Blue" in its entirety, bringing out the graybeards. And Peter Buck and Mike Mills of R.E.M. joined The Posies and Blitzen Trapper in one final tribute to Big Star frontman Alex Chilton, who passed away two years ago as he was due to participate in SXSW.
Rumors of celebrity appearances swirled up and down Sixth Street, but few of them materialized as St. Patrick's Day revelers clogged downtown Austin in a frenzy of partying that didn't end till 2 a.m. last call.
Superstars such as Bruce Springsteen, Jay-Z, Eminem and others made this the busiest SXSW ever, overflowing with celebrity, secret performances and high-dollar endorsements that made sure the festival looked nothing like the humble event that started 25 years ago with just 200 bands spread over 12 clubs. With so much going on and plenty of places to get hammered on green beer, even the usually most exclusive events were easy to get into.
It took a bumpin' tuba line and a bunch of enthusiastic high school kids to shake off the glitzy veneer that had many longtime festival participants grumbling about the good old days and inject a little innocent joy back into the conference.
With the UT Tower lit up in the background, the band took the stage, then laid down a rolling groove before joining Mumford & Sons on "The Cave," recreating a powerful moment from "Big Easy Express" in front of thousands of fans on the lawn at the Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Library.
"That's real music, ladies and gentlemen," Marcus Mumford told the crowd after the song. "That's real music from real people."
Afterwards fans surrounded marching band members on the street and chanted: "One more song! One more song!"
The love of making music and the community brought by close collaboration were the dominant themes of "Big Easy Express," which made its world premiere earlier in the day at the Paramount Theatre, then was replayed for the crowd before the night's concert.
Malloy follows the three bands as they made a train trip from California to New Orleans via Austin. They covered 2,500 miles in a week and a half, playing music almost every step of the way and enlisting Austin High to join the fun in one of the film's most delightful moments.
"Very few people have seen this film," said Malloy, whose previous credits include The White Stripes 2009 documentary "Under Great White Northern Lights." ''But the ones who have, everyone says they're very jealous that they weren't on (the train). They want to quit their day job and go be a freak. And I think the fact that this film evokes that kind of like, 'I want to get in touch with my wild side' is great. It's more emotional than I would've ever thought, and the fact that I was able to work with everything those guys were doing those days and create a little bit of an emotional journey, that put this film in a very special place."
The film is full of poignant moments as the bands bond in close quarters, jamming on each other's songs, writing new ones and taking old standards and making them new.
"We got on the train and you guys were just setting the tone, really playing music nonstop," said Alex Ebert, nodding to Mumford and OCMS member Gill Landry during a red carpet interview before the premiere. "It was a really powerful experience and one we jumped into probably willingly and happily. But I mean in that sense that's what we took away the most — the preparedness, willingness and effort to constantly play music."
Over at Hilton's party, producer Timbaland took the stage after a long absence from the spotlight.
"I know you been missing me for a while," he said.
Timbaland bragged on his own group of favorite collaborators, saying that collaborator Dev was now a member of his "Superfriends" before launching into his latest single, "Break Ya Back," from his forthcoming album "Shock Value III." He also rapped and beat-boxed over abbreviated versions of some of his best-known songs.
"I don't know if I can get off the stage," he said. "I've got too many hits."

New mommy Charlize Theron practiced with a friend's baby in January. (Kevin Perkins/Pedro Andrade/PacificCoast …The Hollywood Mom club has a brand new member. Charlize Theron announced on Wednesday that she has adopted a son. The Oscar winner "is the proud mom of a healthy baby boy named Jackson," her rep said in a statement. Hinting at her desire to adopt, Theron added, "There are so many unwanted children on this earth and it's our job to care for them. And if we don't, we're doing the world a disservice."

Mila Kunis: ‘I Don’t Get Asked Out’

Mila Kunis is Harper's Bazaar's April cover girl. (Terry Richardson/Harper's Bazaar)Mila Kunis is Harper's Bazaar's April cover girl. (Terry Richardson/Harper's Bazaar)Mila Kunis is arguably one of the hottest actresses in the world, but that doesn't mean guys are banging on her door asking for a date. After ending an eight-year relationship with Macauley Culkin in 2010, the "Friends With Benefits" star has been unattached — not that she's complaining. "I honestly think being single's great," Kunis, 28, tells Harper's Bazaar in its April issue. But she's quick to add, "Being in a relationship's great [too]. It's all about the timing." But time is what she doesn't seem to have. The actress just wrapped a six-month shoot in Detroit filming "Oz the Great and Powerful" with James Franco and Michelle Williams (Kunis plays Theodora, the Wicked Witch of the West), and the time away really affected her dating life. "I don't get asked out," she says. "This past year, I haven't been home, so who's going to ask me?"
Until Mr. Right comes along, Kunis is content to hang out at home — by herself. "I prefer to stay home and have a nice little beverage and watch television," adds the actress, who works out with a trainer three days a week mostly so she can afford to eat and drink whatever she wants. "My glass of wine and I are besties." And she's not kidding. Just like with men, Kunis also has a hard time forging relationships with women. She admits she does not make friends easily. "It's hard to open up to people because often they're more curious than they actually care about you."

Although she's been famous since she landed on "That '70s Show" opposite Ashton Kutcher when she was just 14, Kunis says she enjoyed a fairly anonymous life until 2010 when "The Black Swan" was released. "I honestly thought, 'This is going to be a Darren Aronofsky movie. Maybe people will see it, maybe they won't.' I didn't for one second think, 'I'm making a movie about ballerinas. People are gonna run to see this.'"
Kunis says she'd be happy if her butt got bigger. (Terry Richardson/Harper's Bazaar)Kunis says she'd be happy if her butt got bigger. (Terry Richardson/Harper's Bazaar)
But they did, thanks in large part to her and Natalie Portman's intimate scene — and their shockingly skinny ballerina-caliber physiques. Kunis herself dropped 20 pounds from her already lean frame. And while putting it back on wasn't a problem, the drastic weight loss and gain really messed up her body. "[It] has never been the same," she tells Harper's Bazaar. "My shape is different. When I got down to 95 pounds, I was muscles, like a little brick house, but skin and bones. When I gained it back, it went to completely different areas." Of course, it didn't go to places where she would actually want it to, like her butt or breasts. "I'd be happy if my ass got bigger," Kunis adds. "All the weight that left my chest went to my side hip, my stomach."
The change in her body is another reason Kunis works out three days a week, but she is also open to the idea of transforming her body with the help of a plastic surgeon's scalpel — just not now. "I will not put a needle in my body unless I have a medical reason," says the actress, "but ask me in 10 years. Right now, I'm like, 'I'm going to embrace it,' but ... I'm probably going to want to have something done. I have no doubt."
